We're right on the Canadian border with American and Canadian customers. Know what it costs to send a letter to Canada? 69 cents. So, I'm with you on the emails, Sandra.

I work from home as much as possible to keep mileage costs down. Our businesses are scattered across two counties and I run up 70 business miles a day, minimum. But, I don't manage a storage site, so that won't work for everyone. I have my maintenance guys travel together from one site to another to save mileage.

We keep all non confidential wasted paper that runs through printers or copiers and reuse it on internal documents. We turned off the color print option on our printers, set the quality to draft or normal, and we don't print stuff that we don't need. We keep fax machines turned off unless we are expecting or sending one so that we don't waste paper and ink on junk faxes.

Those are just a few things that come to mind off the top of my head. HTH.
