Teri,
It's a nice consideration but I would recommend not including a "live" chat room into SST. The additional management overhead and the possibility of it attracting non-storage people to the site would be the main reasons. The forums are very adequate to most of my needs and I probably wouldn't use the chat.
Just my 2-cents worth of advice.
