Default Lien Sale legal newspaper ad.

We are located in Calif. Are there any criteria as to what legaly needs to be stated in a Lien Sale Ad? Does the civil code need to be referenced?

    Thank you!

    Default Lien Sale Ads

In NH we have to list the customers name and unit number, date, time and place of Lien sale. And it must be posted in the paper at least 2 times for at least 2 weeks prior to the lien sale. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply. Here in Ca. we also have to list it for two consecutive weeks, with the name and unit number. I'm just not sure what else LEGALY needs to be listed.
Thanks again. Have a great day!!!

I'm in Florida. I know we have to mail certified letters at least 30 days before the actual auction, post it in the paper twice before the sale and we make at least 3 attempts per week to get in touch with the tenant as we would rather have them pay then auction the unit. Along with name, address, unit # that is listed in the Public Notices section of the news paper, we give a brief description of the items in the storage unit.

    Hope this helps!

There are lien laws for your state. Would you like me to send you a copy of them?

    Default unit # in ad

We are members of TSSA (Texas Self Storage Association). They recomend that you do not include unit #s in the ad for security reasons. Anyone who knows the person might know what they have stored and would know exactly where to go to get it. Also the ad must state that the "property is being sold to satisfy a londlord's lien".

    Default California Legal Ad

You can look in the newspaper for legal ads posted by other storage companies. If you want me to send you a sample ad let me know.
