Thread: What type of gravel/rock?

For those that do not have concrete/ashpalt, what kind of rock are you using? I purchased a facility that has #57 rock. Gonna clear another acre for boat/RV storage and wondering if I should use the same? Someone did mention crushrun & #4 rock?

I like a compacted class 5 with a good binder then a light layer of 3/4 crushed (not round) over the top. Another option is a 3/4'' crushed concrete it works very well but very hard to come by at times as it is sold out at many pits as soon as it hits the ground.

I would check with your local building inspector. In my local municipality that to the thickness of the paving is governed.
