Are things picking up for you?
We're starting to see a few more calls and renting a few more units so the trickle seems to be getting a bit better, in NC. I was just wondering how things were elsewhere.

BOOOoooooooo.... same here, lots of ghosties.
Honestly three rentals yesterday so that was great and lots of money in.
Today the tumbleweeds and ghosts were the only things around. 50 mph winds have those tumbleweeds scurrying, but that's the only thing moving around here today. Sure makes it hard to keep employees occupied some days.

Thanks for sending the winds our direction this afternoon.... Now I don't even have any tumbleweeds and the crickets blew away.
We may be relocated to Kansas within the hour!
My gate camera looks like we're having a 7.0 earthquake!!!

Well now we have the weather reports coast to coast. Here in the Midwest-- it was gloomy & chilly. And business was about the same as the weather. We have had some really really good rentals that I am thrilled to have. But it is still very very quiet. Yes lots of time to work on other things. Maybe tomorrow we can share some productive ideas of what to do instead of thumb twiddling!!
It is mid month-- normally a quiet time-- but I just keep waiting for that spring burst of activity. Julie

No problem Wayne, I love sharing! I expect by morning we'll be shy one street tree. It already lost a big chunk a couple years back and it keeps swaying from the ground level so, me thinks it may be a goner if this keeps up.
Kansas? Hmm, maybe that's where all the tumbleweeds blew off to, didn't think about that. It's cold here too, at least you're warm right?
Casper is trying his darnedest to get into our house right now. The double doors are groaning trying to stay shut. Not good for business either. One more day of this then it's supposed to stop, I hope.
BTW, Peten glad to hear things are picking up in your neck of the woods. Send a few of them into the sunset for Wayne & I please. Happy Renting y'all.

Lost our canopy that was in our front yard - ripped to shreds!!!
I guess the good part about the "quiet time" is that I have made progress on the remodel - got the ceiling finished yesterday.
Went from a popcorn ceiling with outdated florescent lighting to a sand texture finish with track lighting. We even found an oscillating fans that fit the track system - now no need for a ceiling fan.
Next step is to start working on building the desks.
I would rather be renting units!

things have picked up some here, after the mass move outs we are picking up a few rentals every week and the phones have started ringing again, still a ways to go to be back were we were but at least it's in an upward trend now.
A lot of what we are seeing is people wanting the biggest units we have, I wish I had a lot more 10x30's, we have been offering 10x20's with a discount for a 10x10 or 10x15 to make up for not having 10x30's. A lot of the rentals are people moving in from other areas, Had one yesterday that needed to store all his tools, I'm thinking probably lost his job and needed to store his stuff until he found a new job, it's pretty sad to see all the people hurting right now.
Hopefully things will pic up soon and get back to normal for everyone.

Like cramalot we have picked up also I was concerned because of a rash of move outs in march. In the past week 7 move in and only one move out.

I'm STILL dropping on my occupancy %.
Fortunately for my competitors...they seem to be picking up! Problem here is...our RM won't give us any viable discounts for move-ins, and is raising rents on currents, so they are FLEEING!
Boy...was it windy in the Bay Area or what...yesterday?!?!?!? I thought my office was going to spin off into the sunset!
