Default exterior door and wall cleaning

We need to clean the exterior of our non-climnate buildings, which are metal construction. Doors, walls, etc. have not been cleaned in years, and I don't want to damage the paint. What products are you pleased with? Any hints? I hear car wash soap is good?? Thanks

Okay, sorry about that.

Anyway, look up at the top right hand side of the blue bar above and select search.

Type in the words "Power washer" in the keywords box on the upper left and press enter.

You'll see 6 threads all dealing with how to do it, what people have used, successes, failures and the like.

If you decided to use a pressure washer make sure to use low pressure if you don't want to strip the paint off.

Pressure washers are the best bet - there is a small learning curve, but once you learn how to do it you'll love it!

We have a pressure washer, but rarely use it. However, we have several fire hydrants and an adapter, so we just drag a long heavy duty water hose around the facility, hook it up and have a go at the doors. Good enough pressure to get the dirt off and not take off the paint. Our doors are about 11 years old and in good condition so we don't have too much of a problem here in Rancho because the Santa Ana winds take most of the dirt away.
