Thread: Dealing With Fires

There have been several news reports over the past couple of months about fires at self-storage facilities. Two questions:

Have you had a fire at your facility?

How do you prevent this from happening?

No thank-God, that would probably be one of my worst nightmares.............

there are two types of facilities -- those that have had fires and all the rest.

Fortunately we are in the latter group - for over 25 years so far (knock on wood)

what can we do to prevent fires -- being always on guard and keeping a close eye on our tenants. Like the two I saw the other day putting an Oxy-Acetylene tanks into a unit --- asked them to remove them from the property.
