Wink Internet Payments

We are not taking internet payments at this time. We are a new facility and have looked into the options available. Do you feel this is something beneficial to keeping late payments down?

Aloha,

Absolutely it will assist you in keeping a percentage of your customers from being late payers.

In today's world of demands and compromised schedules, the more options we can offer our customers to make 'timely' rent payments, the healthier we (and our customers) remain in the future.

Besides considering web payment possibilities, may I ask what other payment options are available to your customers?

Default payments taken

We have the traditional check, cash & charge. We do auto charge using debit or credit cards. We also have the Insomniac Kiosk we just put it to use a few months ago. Last month we had about 8 customers use it. We have generous office hours and a lot of our customers call in and pay over the phone also. We use sitelink software. How complicated was it to set it up and get it running?

Unfortunately, I wasn't involved in the original interface for our company, so can't share our particular process. (I have however, set up numerous shopping cart interfaces on websites).

I would probably suggest you start with a call to your sitelink tech support and tell them what you would like to do. They can provide you the info that you need, or perhaps liasion directly with your webmaster. It should not be a difficult process at all. Good Luck!

Aloha,

I visited your website through your profile, being the voyeur that I am.
What a handsome facility and beautiful location. Congrats on your opening, and best wishes for a prosperous year!

Default Online Payments

Offering online payments is a good thing to offer. I don't think it will significantly impact your delinquency. However, it is a convenience for the customer. Although we offer online payments and promote our websites, the majority of our customers still pay at the stores and through our automatic payment plan.

Sitelink Web Edition does offer online payments and it is very easy for the customer to set up their account. In order to take online payments you may have to set up an account with a company such as authorize.net to authorize the online payments. Your current credit card processing company should be ablt to help you set up your online gateway.

If you are going to take payments I highly recommend you do it through your software and not separately. This will make sure your records are accurate and prevent employee fraud.

I know Onlineselfstorage now Call Maximizer has a program that allows your customers to pay online through their interface and then you import the information into Sitelink. There are fees for this service.

I hope this information is helpful.
