How does your April income compare with other month's income? I have noticed a trend over the years with multiple facilities that April tends to be a bit lower in income when compared to other months. I have spoken with other industry people and they have noticed the same. Have any of you noticed the same trend?

I have not noticed that, but I have noticed that most of the old "trends" we had have pretty much gone out the window.
For example - it used to be busiest around the first with move ins and outs, but now I have people moving in through out the month. Move outs are still near the end of the month, but I will have 4 new rentals on the 17th - what's up with that? It also used to be a "trend" that you were busiest on Friday & Saturday -- now I have a rush of people coming in to rent on Wednesday, and more coming in on Thursday. My thought is that with the housing trouble and the economy going into the toilet that all the old trends are headed that way too. Just my .02

I'll never figure this business out...in February we moved in 52 units, in April we moved in 93. We moved out the mid 40's both months. It's the same temperature here in Central Florida in February and April.......we have been noticing a lot more move-in's on Thursday too...actually all through out the week, and not as many on Saturday or Sunday. Maybe less people are working the typical Mon-Fri 9-5 type jobs?
