Default 4th of July

My former employer was open on the 4th of July - not many payments or rentals, but we got a lot of paperwork completed.

My present employer is closed for the 4th - I will be here on the 5th - we are a first of the month payment property so we will have lockovers to do this weekend and collection calls to make. We are open 7 days a week and our customers expect this. We also get a lot of rentals at the beginning of our month - you may also! I like meeting my quotas early!

We're in a smallish town. The ENTIRE city turns out for the 4th of July festivities which begin on the 3rd.

We will have no business at all. Same thing happens on three other weekends each year. We have over 10 years of stats on this to base our decisions on.

With the 4th on Friday this year, we are closing on Saturday to enjoy a 3-day weekend. Yippee!

Everyone have a safe & fun one.

Oops, I should have noted the following...

our customers will still have access to their units, just our office will be closed for the weekend.

Default closed for the 4th

We close the office at noon on Thursday and re-open on Monday, however we have PHONESMART available to provide emergency move in services when we are closed. Also, I check in for messages.

We've got kiosks, web-based software & managers who seem to appreciate the flexibility to come and go. But with Kiosks standing 24-7 duty, I think we will put up the OPEN FOR BUSINESS sign over the holidays. (when managers are all away & don't want the calls, they foward calls to the owner - me.) I can monitor calls answered & not, which helps me keep tabs.

Default Holiday (July 4)

Our office is closed on July 4th, but, 'cause we have alarms, our gates our open to our wonderful customers every day of the year. The only problem, sometimes people vacate without paying the four days rent. I'm home this time so I'll check them during the day...just to make sure everything was OK while they were here and to help them pay the four days they owe and sign off the contract.
