Talking Who makes the best padlock?

Hi I would like to get some feed back on what brand/type of padlock you suggest to your customers and why that lock?

We used to use the disk type. If you do, make sure you have a disk buster. There hard to get off. Now were using the barrel type locks that go in the door. There made by the door company. A locksmith told me that the in the door ones were next to impossible to pick. SO you got to keep a key to each unit or get a master key. (that's what I'm trying for) And the disk lock were his next ones that were hard to pick.

We recommend and sell the Disc style locks from Chateau http://goo.gl/XpclH.

They have over 7000 key changes, and therefore the least likelihood that any 2 customers will have the same key.

Also, their keys break in the locks far less than cheaper brands.

Disc locks are much harder to get off than padlocks, which is good for the customer but bad for inventory! You will need strong bolt cutters or a good grinder!

We also sell Chateau brand padlocks. We have had very good results with them. We offer for sale to our customers, a variety of locks. although, we strongly recommend the disc lock. For removal purposes, we use a grinder and generator. Take care, happy renting to you!

We also only sell Chateau disc locks. We used to sell padlocks, til a lady accidentally locked her keys inside her unit at night, along with her purse and her cell phone.

You can't lock the disc lock without having the key in your hand. Plus they are much more difficult for someone to remove without a key.

we sell chateau disk locks and master disk locks, I am 100% fan of disk locks, except for........... when I have to remove them Lord is it a pain to remove disk locks. We use a disk grinder and cut them in half but its still a pain.
