Christmas Is a Sunday This Year. Are You Open Friday, Saturday and Monday?
For managers: What's the holiday schedule at your facility for the upcoming weekend? Do you have Monday off, or because it's the day after Christmas and a lot of tenants may be bringing in holiday decorations or new gifts, are you open? What about Friday or Saturday?
For owners and DM's: How do you determine your holiday schedule? Is it a very calculated supply/demand and revenue expected thing, or do you simply give holidays and close the store when you think your staff deserves it? Is it a combination of both? Do you weigh both factors?Last edited by jcarlisle; 20th December 2011 at 12:40 PM.

I'm leaving early on Friday and taking Monday off. The facility is fully occupied, and the gates will be open all weekend as always.

The office will be closed Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday. Yeay ME!! As I do not work weekends it will be nice to have that Monday off. This is a new schedule for us so I am thrilled. Tenant's will still have normal access to their units (as long as they are current) and we have many ways to pay their bills should they need to. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Saturday and Sunday we are closed for the holiday (always closed on Sunday, and Saturday is usually a 1/2 day.
Closed Monday, as we still have one day of vacation left for the year. Makes no economic sense to send someone from Atlanta to cover our store for one day.

Facility will be closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I'm taking vacation starting Thursday and don't plan on being back until the 3rd.

We are normally closed on Sunday. The rest of of the week the office is open 9am-6pm. We are closing at 5pm Christmas Eve (Saturday) and reopening at 9am Monday. So we get a whole extra hour off for Christmas and the same thing for New Year's. Woo-hoo...

Re: Christmas Is a Sunday This Year. Are You Open Friday, Saturday and Monday?
It is just my husband and I working here so the days can get very long and sometimes frustrating especially with only one day off each week. We try to relieve each other as much as possible, but it can be a bit overwhelming especially since with both have family nearby with disabilities we have to do a lot of stuff for as well. Not a lot of time to relax. Our one day off this week (Christmas) will be spent at 5 different family members houses so I think we will be more tired on Monday since we ran around all day on our "day off."
I love our owner, but sometimes I wish she would let us do a half day here or there for our sanity.Samantha and Brian Roseberry
