Thread: Got our new access control gates and openers installed, can't wait

Just waiting on the electrician to drop power to it, then I can't wait for my phone to start blowing up over the few hold outs that won't go to credit card payment, to start crying they can't access the property, lol.

We have in our contract that they will be locked out after 5 days from the 1st of the month, so I'm sure a few of these tenants will be upset. Oh well, we are finally moving forward with technology. After this is up and running, sitelink is next.
The owner is looking at opening a new facility, but I'm trying to get this one caught up from the stone ages, and get a little time under our belt before jumping out into a brand new facility.

You are on the right track.

Does SL have pay at the gate? ff so get it. We Use the sponsor to the right and have that and web payments. I have people that now use smart phones and pay from outside the gate after being denied. I am starting to tell past due tenants we have so many ways to pay you should have no problem making a payment.

I don't think we can benefit from that program, since we are a boat/rv storage, but the next one will be a full facility so we will see.

actually that would be perfect for you...here if someone pays at the gate and they are delinquent, they still can't get into their storage unit til we take the late lock off....but in your case, if the gate won't open because they are late, and they pay their rent at the gate, then the gate will open and life goes on!

Joe at least once a month, I have a delinquent tenant drop a check in the drop slot between 8pm and midnight...then they proceed to the gate and their gate code still doesn't work...so I come to work the next morning to a long-winded and very nasty voice message. It would be worse if they could in the gate and to their unit and then find it still overlocked. Though it is nice to have their payment!!!

If they pay on time or before grace period expires all would be good and they would have no issues. Sometimes a tenant will call and I dont even know who they are. I always say that I remember the bad tenants but sometimes not the ones who pay online or with autopay.
