Re: Gas/Oil Stains
I've cleaned my driveway many times with powdered detergent and gas with great results on oil spill from a motor swap, although Im sure its very illegal to wash it down the street!
there is some products that people who own/manage shopping centers use, I'll see if i can find out what it is called.

Re: Gas/Oil Stains
Never ever use Gas as a cleaning detergent. Using gas is a very good way to get serious burns.

I just clicked the link and got an 404 error. Not sure what happened. Try again.

We use the Zep floor sealers but didn't care much for the degreasers. Were currently using "Gunk" degreeser from the local auto supply store and protland cement. The cement will get rid of most of the stains.Last edited by SMSSId; 18th January 2013 at 10:08 AM.

Re: Gas/Oil Stains
I have always been a fan of Gumout Carb Cleaner for taking care of the oil stains or other tough to remove stains. That and a grill scrubber with a removable pad. Never tried mixing a little portland in with it the make it look a little nicer when done. That is something I think I will try out.

Re: Gas/Oil Stains
The easiest and cheapest way is to simply pour some Terpentine over the oil stain, let sit for 15 to 20 minutes, then pour a generous amount of kitty litter over the area being treated and wait about 20 more minutes before sweeping up. No scrubbing effort is required and the kitty litter can be reused over and over again. The Terpentine flows into the pours of the concrete, disolves and "lifts out" the impurities, and the kitty litter absorbs it all up very neatly.

Re: Gas/Oil Stains
Diatomaceous earth is what we use, brush or rub it into the stain. Wait a bit then sweep it up. It works like kitty litter, but since you can buy it in bulk without a brand name, I presume it's probably cheaper.
