    Default 'Tis the Season

Welcome to the best time of year to collect on delinquent accounts!!!

You guessed it- people have a strong emotional attachment to their artificial Christmas tree and decorations! And we all know every unit has a Christmas tree in it!!

I had people calling last week to make payment arrangements so they can get their Christmas stuff out of hock!!

And here in Indiana- we have a rush of people wanting their winter clothes and coats!

Oh if only... we never really see the seasons change here. We're all running around in shirt sleeves or at most a sweater.
You're right about their holiday decor though, that's always a good one. "How much do I have to pay to get my Christmas tree out?" Hmmm, how about the last two months rent PLUS Decembers rent. We can't force them until Dec. 1st, but at that point you better believe I'll stand my ground on December rent as well.

Anyone decorating their office yet??? Outside first, or inside first?! I bought a CD at Kohl's ($5.00 bargain!) Christmas in the Country---I usually don't listen to country but this is a country version of all your Christmas favorites!!! From Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Alan Jackson) to O Holy Night (Lonestar)...and I really like the Please Come Home For Christmas (Keith Anderson)...oh and don't leave out Brad Paisley's version Away in a Manger....it's really putting me in the holiday mood

We started yesterday, decorating. We have both home and the office to do today and tomorrow. We use inflatables at work, and they are all up and waving at the cars going by to buy.

Our most popular, and only, radio station is playing Christmas Carols as I type.
We live in Christmas tree country, so many of the cars passing have been to the tree farms to select and cut their own tree. I have been seeing cars with trees on top for the last 10 days or so.

We started decorating 2 weeks ago. Corporate wanted it all done by 12/4 so we got started early. Turned them all on last night...not quite all done, but beautiful.

Local radio station started playing all Christmas music on the 16th. My office staff complained, but when they weren't here, I had it on. Needed something to get us in the mood here, since it was 85 degrees on Thanksgiving!

I just have to finish inside the office and work out a few of the kinks outside.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I have lights on the house-tree done inside. JUST finsihed a 4 ft. artificial inside the office, tomorrow I'm going to put up some icicle lights around the roof trim on the office, maybe some more somewhere else, we'll see. Luckily I can do whatever I wan't, when ever I wan't. I LOVE Christmas!

I feel like such a slacker! Ours are usually up by now, but weather and short-staffing has left us mostly decor-less so far.

On the good news front, we received our first toy donation to our 24-hour Santa Box today! People are good. We got that out front and secured in place before Thanksgiving.

And... may I have a drum roll please...
Tomorrow evening, we are going shopping with $10,000.00 for TOYS!!!! Yea!!
We fund raise each year and we host a party for the Marines so they actually get to distribute the toys they handle each year. About a dozen of us will descend upon the store with shopping carts galore and shop til we drop! So we may not have our decorations up yet, but we're getting the kids covered. I think we'll earn a 1/2 of a brownie point for that, right?

Decor will be up by this weekend, not sure how elaborate we'll make it this year, but we'll get most of it up. I fear the building lighting may fall to the wayside, but all the huge lighted statutes will be up. Whew! Is it January yet?
