How do you use the slower days?
So here I am at work on the most beautiful weekend yet this year wondering how you use up the slow hours other than surffing SST.
I am a aspiring sci-fi writter who use the time to do research and do a little writting.
What do you do?
Did I mention how much I rather be at the lake on this beautiful 20c above weekend.

You mean there's more than SST out there?

I think so, I've heard of something called a web search that will take me away from my SST homepage. LOL

WHAT?!!! Oh, now I am so confused.
BigJ? A web search? We did that, and we cleaned them all off the pipes, doorways, transoms, ceilings etc. Really ticked off all those little arachnids!
Kid you not, everything we can come up with has been cleaned, restocked etc.
I want to go to the beach.

Well....I spent part of the morning cleaning the nasty pollen off the doors in my hallways...course I've been sneezing ever since!
This afternoon I will wash the pollen off the windows....wonder if there will be a new batch on them by Monday!

Re: How do you use the slower days?
Unfortunately on weekends here you are solo and have to man the office at all times (owner's wishes, no call for service # on counter for me), kinda makes me feel like a dog on a leash really and its most annoying. So like a good soldier, everything in my permitted zone is all in order and there is nothing left to do.
5 hours - 1 phone call - 2 regualrs = I really wish I was at the lake!

Re: How do you use the slower days?
I hear you BigJ. Employee & I are here, so we can chew through our leashes and wander a bit. We've been here since 8:00 a.m., not a single phone call. Almost makes me miss the telemarketers... I said ALMOST, not quite!!!
One 'customer' came in to give me a hug and a ration of ***p. His daughter grew up with our kids and now being the good man he is, he's moving yet another friend's stuff in here. That rental happened a week ago. Sigh...
We've been listening to webinars we've found online to kill time and maybe learn us a thang or two. The next four hours are going to be brutal, it's gorgeous outside, dagnabbit!

Re: How do you use the slower days?
Lucky you guys --- I spent the last two days painting doors!
It was nice to be outdoors all day

Re: How do you use the slower days?
Lucky you say Doc, far from it.
I'd rather be outside shoveling mud than stuck at the desk. On a good note though I have already rented 4 units today and things are booming here right now.
Thank the gods.
