Thread: Any Facility Weather Closings Today?

Chicago is impassable (and impossible) today, so almost everything is shut down here. The public transportation is sort of running ... sort of.

Are there any other facilities, especially in the Midwest, who are shut down today because of bad roads or power outages?

Isn't it amazing what a difference of a few hundred miles can make....It's absolutely the most perfect day of the winter here, just hit 70 degrees at high noon, and I had forgotten what clear blue beautiful skies look like...but we have them now, after what seems like months of dreary gray overcast days.

Like I said John, that's why I call it the great frozen wasteland. Luckily I got my ninety year old soon to be M.O.L out of Sycamore ahead of this mess. She is now enjoying the weather in Phoenix, Az. for the rest of the winter. Good luck, maybe some of the Canadians can help out with a dog sled or two, if they can dig themselves out. Like S.C. it's 68 and clear here, but tomorrow who knows?

Seeing what is going on back east, you all are on our hearts. That looks brutal. Also to the people and facilities in Eastern Australia, that hurricane was larger than Katrina.

John Nashville is really cold today but no snow. I just looked at some photos from one of my friends on FaceBook who lives in Palentine IL and wow!!!!!!! I also have friends in Dallas who are suffering thru the rolling power outages. My prayers are with ALL who are effected by this storm.

It's a beautiful day here to head for the beach, so maybe we should close the facility.

On a serious note, I've not seen any of the news yet since we just completed our auction a little bit ago. But I do wish all of you in the storm's path a safe day. Don't go out in the stuff, but if you do, be smart & be prepared for anything and everything.

That cyclone in Australia... wow... again, I hope everyone is safe and the damages are minimal. Be safe and our best wishes to all.
