Just out of curiosity, do many of you close down for lunch? I rented a unit at uncle bobs a few yrs back to do some market research and that is when I found out they closed for an hour for lunch, I thought it was a joke, but noticed they did actually close down for and hour for lunch. When we are working alone we either bring our lunch, order pizza, or put the showing a unit sign up and run down the steet and drive through somewhere, gone usually 5 min. maybe 10min tops, no longer than it would take to show someone a few unit sizes. When there are 2 of us we usually start taslking lunch about noon and decide on something and eat by 2 - 4, depends on how long it takes to decide. That is where living on site can be VERY nice, you go int he kitchen and make whatever you want, heck even fire up the grill.
That being said just rember not too keep good candy in the office for the tenants, or you will sit here and eat it all day long. We put out the crap candy and then we occasionally buy a bag of good stuff for our favorite tenants and for us to eat.

Lunch! We work through it, but have a stocked refrigerator and microwave, even an oven though I've never used it.

I'm with astro!!!! We currently work from 9 am to 6 pm...later if we have a late move-in, and eat lunch in between customers and phone calls. Some rare days we get to eat our whole lunch, but usually we take a bite or two when the chance presents itself. I have waited til 4 pm to take that first bite, and have heated up my lunch more then once (or twice or three times) in the microwave. My husband has heated up the same cup of coffee all day and not had a chance to drink it. In addition to storage, that is extremely busy March-Sept, we also have a thriving UPS pack and ship operation.
This is my 3rd job in storage, and I have yet to have one where we get an official lunch break and shut the office.
Here we do have a full-size fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a popcorn cart. I would love to have a toaster oven. When I go grocery shopping, I also buy stuff for lunches and snacks for the week, so we usually don't go offsite to get take out. The closest fast food is 5 miles away, and the only place that delivers is Dominos. There is BRAND SPANKIN' NEW McDonalds in the process of being built 2 miles from us though, so things may change around here soon!
