Re: How many?!?
People generally need 2 sq ft per person so if you bound them up with packing tape I'd say you could get that down to 1.5 sq ft.
Thus, 300 / 1.5 = 200 people!
I knew HS math was going to be useful somewhere.

Re: How many?!?
However Madman, if the folks were coupled up in a loving embrace and then bound with packing tape, you could squeeze two people into two square feet. Thus your hypothesis is flawed as the following demonstrates. 300 sq. ft / 2 per Sq. Ft. per couple = 150 sq ft x 2 people = 300. However this is also incorrect and we have a piece missing in the equation; how tall is the unit? If we take those same 300 people and presume they are all about 5.5 feet tall on average then we could put in twice as many folks into a 10 foot high unit. Presuming of course that the 5-1/2 - 6 footers embracing were on layer one and the vertically challenged folks are on the top.
My answer is 600!

Re: How many?!?
This has sparked a great idea for a contest. You could hold a contest and see how many people will fit in. People can set up a team captain and find their own volunteers and who ever packs the most in a 10x10 gets one free month.
