Official Self-Storage Talk Photo Thread

Hi Everyone,

A couple of years ago, we started an official photo thread where we invited members to share images of their facilities. We know many of you have a great deal of pride in the look and feel of your facilities, whether for special events, the holidays, maintenance, remodeling or what have you, and the thread was created as a central location where members could share images and also come to find inspiration. We've had good success with the thread, but it has become lengthy and buried deep in the stream. As such, I am starting this new "official" thread and pinning it to the top of General Chat to give it a more permanent home. As before, if we have enough participation, we will strongly consider elevating the thread into its own dedicated forum. So let's share some photos!

In addition to showing off planned events, decorations, etc., we know there are moments when unexpected things occur onsite that make you reach for your camera. Whether it's a rainbow, glorious sunset (or sunrise for some of you), critters that make you smile, or a special gift that appears on your desk, feel free to share those photo-worthy moments with your colleagues here at SST.

Posting photos on SST is easy and can be done in a couple of different ways. To learn how, please review these photo-sharing instructions.

As before, we have two key "rules" for the photo thread:

1. Every photo must contain part of your facility in it. It doesn't have to be anything that specifically identifies the name of the facility (we understand you may want to protect your privacy), but it should be obvious the event is occurring at the facility or in an office.
2. All photos, like text posts, must adhere to the Site Rules.

We may also consider highlighting photos in the monthly SST e-newsletter (sign up here) and even Inside Self-Storage magazine.

This photo well is bone dry since we moved it. Whose got a photo to share? Perhaps some before-and-after shots of a new renovation, or share with us highligts from a special event, new signage, lighting, etc. How about some winter facility shots, showing those of us in warm-weather markets what you have to contend with?

I'd love to start picking a photo of the month to run in either the e-newsletter or on the SST page inside the Inside Self-Storage print magazine, so let's start getting visual (within the rules listed above and adhering to common decency, of course)!

I would much rather have the warmer weather too, but winter is not all bad

Snow you say

Ok, not exactly a self storage office, but here's Trachte's headquarters after a nice WI snowfall last year.

The building is about 25' tall, and drifts were up to the roofline in a few spots.
