Hi,
We have 1800 feet of landscaped frontage on the way in and out of town. One manager says: Signs imply support so half the people won't rent and they look bad. The other manager says: Let everyone who wants, post signs. Its good advertising and support of the americian system. What is the general feeling and are there any legal issues. |

nothing wrong with letting all comers put up signs to avoid any charges of bias and risk alientating potential and current customers. However, and this is a big however, when the flood of local candidates joins the national office seekers, you're going to have a lot of signs on your property. After the campaign, will folks retrieve their signs or will that be your job?
The only issue you may have to contend with is size of signs. If everyone goes along with the typical yard sign, that won't be a problem. But there is almost always one in every crowd who will want to put up a mini billboard. It's your property; you can set the rules regarding size of signs and number, as in one per candidate. |

I have had them post there signs without asking -- after contacting the party and getting the runaround I pulled the signs and in the dumpster they go.
they did not get my vote!

Thanks for the information Jim -- unfortunatly when it comes to politics it's usually the person that pisses me off the least that will get a vote.
Those are getting harder to find these days.
