My name is Craig. Just signed up to this site which im happy someone finally put together something like this so we can meet up with other managers and owners in the storage industry.

Ive been in the storage industry for about 7 years now, started out as an assistant manager then promoted to manager and then finally decided to go out on my own and buy a place and found a business partner/invester. Takes a ton of work running your own company but I love it. I wouldnt work for anyone else ever again.
Were currently purchasing 2 more properties. We have 2 in Amityville, NY and the new ones opening next month are in Mineola, NY and Island Park, NY.
Alll of the sites put together we will have about 1700 storage units and approx 160,000 sq ft
I am also looking around for other experienced managers that would be interested in working for me at my new facilities.
Also anyone else in similar type of work would love to talk about experiences and other hints/improvements to do to the properties
