Hello
Hi, I'm Deb Janvick. I just found out about Self Storage Talk, am very excited about the avenues this site provides.
I am in Webster, Texas very near NASA and beautiful Clear Lake. I manage a climate controlled property with just under 600 units and also am the Sr. Operations Mgr. for our organization. Very nice Lisa. We are in Leesburg. Howdy Neighbor!!! We have a facility with 519 units, including CC and parking. We've been here since July and really enjoy it. It's a really nice small town. But close enough to Orlando and such. And you're right....Small World!!!!

Hey Trax. Know that area well. Lived at Clay Rd & Fry Rd. Right on the border of Cy-Fair and Katy. Small, small world. It's nice here though. Had to adjust to small-town living again, but it wasn't too hard. Nice to meet everyone!!!

Leesburg is a nice town. We've been there for their annual bike fest and spent the weekend. Lots of fun and lots of people along with great food and music. Did you move to Florida for the job? or do you have family here Jen?

Lisa - we moved here specifically for the job. Our family is all back in Texas (Houston & Austin area). But the friends we have made here are amazing. We weren't here in time for the bikefest last year, but have heard some crazy stories!!!
We have been blessed with amazing tenants though. Several brought X-mas goodies and we have been invited for dinner several times. It has been a lot of fun getting to know everyone here.

I'm glad you are making friends here. Our first storage job ever was in Alabama (we applied for a job in Florida, which they had filled the day before, and we were offered a job in Alabama instead). We took the job to get our foot in the door in storage management and moved to Alabama where we didn't know anyone. It was very depressing, because we didn't know anyone, worked 7 days a week for 4 months, and didn't have neighbors, and while our tenants were nice, we were in a big commercial area in a large city. In smaller towns I think the people are friendlier.
I was SOOOOOOOOOO glad when we found a good job back in Florida last summer!!!
