Question Anyone Been to Paris, France?

The only Paris that matters next week is the one hosting the Inside Self-Storage World Expo (obviously), but who here has traveled to the "other" Paris -- you know, that sorta big city in Europe?

I went three years ago as part of a larger Europe adventure and had a great time. Froze my rear end off at the top of the real Eiffel Tower. Don't think I'll have that problem next week!

Je ne parle pas Francais. Parlez vous Anglais?

I don't know French either, but yes, I speak English.
Did I pass the test?

I have eaten French cuisine at the top of the Eiffel Tower...
in Las Vegas

Parlez-vous français?

I think I was in the airport once-- a very long time ago. Thinking next week in Paris will be much more memorable. Looking forward to it!!

Wayne, I think I loosely translated what John wrote:

I don't know (speak) French, do you speak English?

My family have all been to Paris, France. My wife and I early on made a commitment to take our kids to places where they could learn things that can't be taught from books. I clearly remember as a youth riding on the bullet train in Japan and looking out and seeing kids my age working in the rice paddies. I had an epiphany right then and there that you could never have taught me otherwise...."shut up and be grateful for what you have, and quit your spoiled little snotty kid whining." 35 years later I still think about that.

Standing in front of THE Mona Lisa at the Louvre, or walking through Rodin's gardens, or climbing to the top of the Notre Dame, watching the painters and booksellers along the Seine, seeing Van Gogh's brush strokes at the Musee d'Orsay....these are amazing things that stay with you.

I have to agree, Storman........Went to Europe in 1986 and loved it. Mona Lisa was stupendous, Norte Dame breath taking, sailing the Seine the most awesome! I'll go back given the chance!

Haven't been to Paris, but I have been to Caans, Nice, and some other places. For the most part had a good time. Autodoc, I've made a few Westpacs too, as well as a few other Uncle Sam sponsored fun ship cruises. Those were always so much fun?? But you do get to see how the rest of the world lives and where a lot of world history was made. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
