Storwell- My wife and I have attended the last 4 I think, my memory only goes back 3 years... The ISS World Expo is invaluable for my business. Since I'm gratefully not a part of a large storage corporation, I rely on the World Expo to learn about what's going on in the industry and most importantly how best to position my business for continued success. Since the landscape is constantly changing in advertising, marketing, legal, software, security, retail, signage, etc., I rely on the Expo to keep me up to date on what's happening. Not only do I learn about the trends, but I learn how to stay out in front of them.....that's the invaluable part. Any old magazine or blog writer can tell you what just happened, the trick is finding out where things are going and taking advantage of that. I find that kind of info at the seminars and on the trade show floor.

I went to my first Expo with the thought that I would see if they were worthwhile after determining my ROI on the trip. I learned more the first day of seminars that either earned me more or saved me far more than the cost of the attending. I decided right then and there that I wouldn't miss another one.

Plus, it's a nice time away from the grind with my lovely wife.

Hey, what's not to love about a thousands of self storage professionals all in Las Vegas to network, share and look for new and better ways to do things.

All the Vegas shows have been worth every dollar and rewarding!

I concur with all of the above... including the Cashiers expo idea. But you all need to build more hotels first.

I was devastated when I had to cancel out on going to Tacoma. The Expos are not only a lot of fun, but as Storman pointed out, you can learn so much and gather ideas, concepts and cost-saving info from others that it far outweighs the costs involved.

Plus, now there is a way to earn a Free Education Package to boot. The SST Referral Program.

It also doesn't hurt to join the Paris rewards club & let them send you room offers, although we will get a conference room rate as we get closer to the date also.
