I encourage everyone registered with the site to visit the
privacy settings within their User CP and to determine if all of the settings are as you would like them.
There are several possible protections that will keep unwanted guests from reading messages you post in others' profiles and from viewing information about you, such as your e-mail address. I recommend setting all criteria to "Registered Users." Whether you add any additional layers -- for example, making your information available only to "friends" -- is up to you.
I think this is a necessary measure, as the site has grown quite a bit in the past month. Also, the social media component of the forum (adding friends and contacts) is becoming more popular.
Just a friendly reminder from your community manager.
