Default bankruptcy Ch. 7

I have a tenant who is an default filed ch. 7. I spoke to him before I received the letter in the mail. And he was going to try to catch up by paying weekly. Now I received a letter that lists me as a creditor and i am not to have any contact whether by phone or mail or try to collect debt or I will be in violation of the bankruptcy code and could be penalized. Has anyone here ever gone through this? Your thoughts and comments would help greately.

Hi Jnicho6,

Read this recent ISS article from Scott Zucker. He covers bankruptcy and the legal steps you can take.
