Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to share their "flow chart" for lien sales. By "flow chart" I mean a document that I can input the sale units down the side and then there would be columns along the top for: Late Notice sent, Pre Lien Sent, attempted phone call, etc, etc... That way I could initial and date each action for each unit and at a glance I can verify all appropriate steps have been taken. I work at a storage facility in CA if that matters. Thanks in advance to anyone out there willing to share. James |

That would be too easy to do in Excel -- if I had all the categories you wanted I could build one in abut 10 min.
Let me know if you need help, or just send me your list of categories and I will do it for you.

Great to see the responses, and a suggestion that you have your local counsel review your checklist to make sure it complies with your State's Lien Statute. There can be subtle differences with regard to timing, and if you built into the checklist the safeguard of a timeline, it may be helpful. This is also a good time, when managing lien sales, to see the value in all guest payments due on the same day of the month, it makes this process easier. I know that there are two sides of the due date debate (I personally want to make it easier for the guest), but this is one of the compelling reasons for a uniform date, it makes managing this process much easier.
