My tenant has died and according to Cornorer, they can't locate any immediate family and he stated that he more than likely will be turning this over to the State Conservetor in order to get monies to pay for funeral etc.
Does anyone know how this is handled and what us as the storage unit needs to do. He has 4 very large units with us. Do they come and take the stuff. We do go through the lein sale process in the meantime. Any help would be great - We are here in Sunny Northern California. Carol

Hi Carol ... Jeff Greenberger just conducted a webinar on this topic last month. It was titled, "What to Do When Your Self-Storage Tenant Dies, Disappears or Is Debilitated," and it might help you. You can get your hands on a copy here:
http://www.selfstorageeducation.com/...art=109&page=0 You might also want to get in touch with Jeff directly. He can be reached at info@selfstoragelegal.com. Best of luck to you.
