Talking Hi, Jessica!

The basics of designing an attention-getting flyer or brochure are pretty simple... I suggest the best way to start is to create an honest list of the best attributes of your particular storage facility. For example- Do you have a large variety of sizes? How about convenient access in and out of your facility? On-site managers? Moving supplies? Even a list of convenient payment options can be enough to catch the eye of a prospective customer looking for something specific in what you have to offer.

Another consideration... make SURE that you proof your flyer BEFORE you head to the printer for grammar, spelling, etc. Nothing can put egg on your face faster than a silly mistake-

I'd be happy to answer other questions as you think of them...

Regards,

Here, here! Too few people in business today -- that's ANY business, not just self-storage -- disregard the importance of proper spelling, grammar, syntax, etc. It makes the editor in me very, very sad.

Default Link to Fairborn Self Storage Flyer-feel free to copy

The link below will open a PDF file of the brochure we are using now. We use Microsoft Publisher, then convert to PDF. We bought a Dell 3110cn Color Laser Printer and do everything in house. This allows us to print on demand, adjust rates or promotions and do other flyers. We have one that promotes our moving supplies and boxes that we drop off to the apartment leasing office in out target market.

After the success of the Kirk Nash video we posted on YouTube in Vegas, we will launch several videos in the coming weeks, one will be like a TV commercial, most will be very casual and have humor, almost viral, upbeat music etc...I highly recomend getting stuff on YouTube, it can mean the difference, specifically for the younger demographic, students, recent grads, new to work force.

Good Luck and feel free to use anything from my brochure, I'm sure we lifted it from someone?! Somewhere?! I would also like feedback on how to make my flyer better. I'm always looking to improve our stuff, Thanks!

I also have posted on internet strategies using Content Management Solutions...We use Wordpress a free, open source software that allows owners/manager to post relevant content on a regular basis...If you post regularly you will see your google search results climb!

Spending Money on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a huge waste of money for 99% of self storage owners...I would love for someone to show me what they are getting when paying for SEO...I want stats(old and new), google placements on specific dates showing positive results, sample code, and any other 'magic, smoke and mirrors'...Cause I think it's BUNK!

I'll show my stats and google results to anybody, anytime and tell you how I get it...free.
