Facility's Tenant Appreciation Day on YouTube
Our own MusicCity Gal showed off her facility Web site on this thread, and by poking around on her site, I saw that they have a YouTube channel. By the way, I didn't have to poke around too much because the YouTube logo is prominent at the top-right corner of the home page.
One of the videos features a montage from their Tenant Appreciation Day. It's good stuff, and you all should check it out.

That is really cool!
What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are small matters compared to what lies within us!

I like the video and it all looks like so much fun. How do you convince your boss that having a yard sale is a GOOD idea when the customer may sell so much stuff that he/she moves out?

Hey I just now saw this!!!
THANKS EVERYONE!!!
This is the HONEST Truth, most of our tenants end up buying each other's stuff!! This is really true!! We have had four of these events and haven't lost a tenant yet. In fact, I have folks come back every spring to rent a unit just for the sale, so I get at least a month out of them!
We will be gearing up for this event again. It will be in May and then we will add another video to our YouTube Channel!!
I should have entered THAT in the Marketing Contest, but decided to go with the Print Ads instead! But we still got 3rd place!!By permission from Auto Doc
All arguments can be resolved ... with high explosives and Humor!!!

I'm with U-Store - it looks like it would be great exposure to the community and much more fun than going to all the apartments trying to convince the leasing agents to promote us, but I am SURE my boss will say that our tenants will sell their stuff and move out.

Can't wait to hear / see your May's video. I wasn't able to convince the bosses. May keep trying since I do love the idea...we could even let others know we are having a sale and then they could rent a unit for the day-or longer, sell their stuff and maybe we get a long term rental. But, they pay the bills so if they say no I don't do it.
