Hi, im new to self storage talk. I was wondering if anyone has had any success with flyers or walk in marketing that gave something away. In other words what is the most successful hand delivery marketing you have had, we are currently brain storming to get our neighbors to come in and see and or rent from our location... thank you.

Tip: Before you start going on your journey to gain new prospects, you must first do a quick check inside. Is the store looking sharp? Are your "tours" ready to go? Are your deals good enough? Have answers to sales objections been rehearsed? Is the flyer you're putting out looking professional? Every one of these questions is vital to your success!
If you've done all of these steps well, here's how you put the DAGGER into your competition: meet all of the business owners in your area. All you really need is a business card and your flyer. Meet them face-to-face. Shake hands and kiss babies like a politician! Let them know that they can market their business WITH you, because I guarantee they would LOVE to tap into your customers! Here are some ideas: Let "Ma's Bakery" put out free samples once a week. Let the car dealership give free test drives from your parking lot. Let "Bob's Barber Shop" promote his new sytlist by giving a free haircut with a new rental. Get it?? Just never forget the MAIN objective: NEW RENTALS!!! Let me know what you do and how it goes! - ChiTown |

Sometimes you forget about things that used to work and wonder why you ever stopped. Networking out in the community is a great way to expand your business. ChiTown's post reminded me of a flyer we used years ago and updated recently and started using again.
