A self-storage facility and carwash have teamed up, in a sense, as developers in California have finally gained approval to build a joint storage-and-carwash facility.

Yes ..that will work.

Our first facility in Dallas Texas was a combination of a 700 unit facility and a carwash.
Both were VERY profitable and supported each other brilliantly.

The carwash was a good marketing and advertising tool for the self storage and visa versa.

If you look for something to combine.. this did for us really well.

USI has/had a facility on Lantana road in the West Palm Beach area that had a carwash on it. It was owned/run by the Amoco station also on the property. Their land was leased to them by USI. It also had a strip mall and may have had a mail facility on it.

They may have sold the land to the gas station.

This has been done, and worked quite well.
