Unhappy A Real Bummer, For Sure...

I wasn't so much into the Dirty Dancing or Ghost, but I remember back in the day I saw Red Dawn at the theatre.

I was really hoping he'd beat it; he was a class act...

I ran video stores when some of his movies came out. He was always solid boxoffice. Class act, and class gentleman.

Default Swayze

It's a sad day. I was not terribly familiar with his personal life, but from what I know he was a man of integrity, and certainly very talented. Cancer sucks.

I'll echo everyone here, class act, nice man, a husband who loved to dance... and one of the few Hollywood marriages that was like us 'normal' folks. They were partners in the true sense, never the infidelities, the madness of all the partying just good-grounded people in an insane world. Hollywood needs more Patrick Swayzes and no Kanyes.

Default I miss him....

He was one of my favorite actors growning up. i was four when dirty dancing came out and seven when ghost came out, but i remember watching them with my mom, trying to dance like dirty dancing, which had my family laughing hysterically, crying in Ghost. For a long time my sisters, who range from 1 to 10 years older than me, and i would just have a night every couple of weeks where we would just veg out and watch movies and eat junk food. Those two movies were some of our favorites and when i got older i started watching the other movies he made. When i was about 12, i saw Road house for the first time. I know it came out before Ghost, but i had never seen it. You know, 14 years later, i still like to curl up with a bowl of popcorn and some soda and watch those three movies. But now it's time for me to laugh at my own daughter's 'dirty dancing'!!

I don't know if anyone has heard or cares, but Mary Travers of Peter, Paul, and Mary died. They were the one who sang Puff the Magic Dragon. She had leukemia and she was 72.
