March Madness Bracket for SST
My favorite sporting event of the year is almost upon us: March Madness (the NCAA college basketball tournament).
Would anyone take the time to fill out a free bracket on Yahoo, ESPN, or CBS if I set one up? I almost set up a fantasy football league for us, but then I realized it's just too time-consuming to manage. March Madness brackets are easy -- you fill them out once in 5-10 minutes and hope you are lucky!
Note: You do not have to be a fan or even a casual follower of college basketball to succeed in a March Madness bracket. In fact, it's often a detriment, because the tournament is so unpredictable that those of us who pick based on which teams we think will win often finish at the bottom of these pools. You're better off picking based on which states you like and which team colors/mascots you like. Honestly.
We'll do a men's pool but we can do a women's, as well. If we do a women's pool, I dare someone NOT to pick the University of Connecticut to win the whole thing.
Let me know by Tuesday of next week if you're in. The draw is announced Sunday night and the games tip off Thursday midday.
This, of course, would be just for fun and bragging rights, so free to play. Eh ... maybe for a gift card or something at the next ISS show if I can convince the powers that be.

Well, even though I didn't hear any response, I did create a bracket group for us on Yahoo.
Here is the link if you'd like to join:
http://tournament.fantasysports.yaho...ster/joingroup
Group #: 129642
Group Name: Self-Storage Talk
Password: harnessthepower
You actually have until Thursday at noon eastern to fill out the bracket. That's when the First Round games tip off.

Hyperlink error
Hey John, I think you want to link to this page.
http://tournament.fantasysports.yaho...ster/joingroup
The above link goes to an error page.
And note, you need a Yahoo ID to join in. I'll join in later tonight... some of us just need some tweaking to remind us.
MS Office Pool? Really?!

Good catch, Gina. I fixed the link.
Even though you need a username, I've noticed a strong contingent of SSTers who already have Yahoo names. Pretty much every single one of these bracket sites make you register, so I figured, "Which is most convenient to the biggest number of people?"

Love you both, I really, REALLY do, but I can't stand basketball.
If fantasy basketball were my game, it'd turn into a football...

SST March Madness Standings
John's pick points add up to 50 out of 80.
Gina's pick points add up to a whopping 14.
All I know is I grew up watching the game, my best friend dated a basketball star (in junior high) and the games were always fun to watch. So I can't pick 'em, but let this be a warning to all out there... don't ever bet real money against JCarlisle on any basketball game!
Great job John & congrats so far.
