    Default Tornadoes Spring 2011

Here is a map of the twisters that have struck in the past three days. That one last night that caused so much devastation may be the largest, longest one in recorded history to stay on land.

I was finally able to reach family in NW Alabama. One went right down their road, their home is still standing and all are well thanks to a neighbor with a storm cellar. I hope all of our SST members survived unscathed as well. Our hearts and prayers are with everyone in the destruction zones.

Only one in Michigan near me. It's crazy. I am used to snow, not this much rain or wind.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of the devastation from last night's storms. Sending prayers to y'all in the south, as well as to those of you who are still searching for loved ones.

Not to start a political discussion out of a thread intended to collect prayers and good thoughts for the victims and those affected ...

BUT for the global-warming naysayers, the increasing amount of bizarre and especially severe weather is a symptom of climate change.

I was actually thinking it might be the Muslem extremists, or Al Qaeda, or something like that.

More than 300 dead. Media is calling it the worst U.S. natural disaster since Katrina.

Prayers out to all those affected.

We had a stressful morning yesterday attempting to contact family in Alabama. Thankfully all are well in our family, but my cousin who is a nurse was shook. His co-worker went home to find his wife had perished, but she managed to protect their 7 week old baby. The stories like this are so tragic and make you appreciate each day you have to spend with your loved ones. Who could imagine going to work and having that happen while they were away from home?
