Thread: Pink Shirt Day - Feb 27, 2013 Anti-Bullying Campaign

In support of Anti-Bullying my company supports Pink Shirt Day on Feb 27 2013 by wearing Pink Shirts.

We're certainly proud to support www.pinkshirtday.ca on that day and everyday and we even saw some locals create a recent video at a WHL hockey game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IT4qz...ature=youtu.be

Remeber BULLYING STOPS HERE!

I have not heard of this, but rest assured we will be wearing pink that day. And I will spread the word as far as I can.

I thought pink shirts were for breast cancer awareness. Is this something new?

You are correct as there many cancer fundraisers that use the pink ribbons and shirts. I guess we just have a specific Pink Shirt Day we use as well to continue to build awareness and discussion.

That was cool and it turns out I know the Moms and organizers who did that!?! I never realized it until recently ...

I had a meeting with a friend this week and he was wearing the BRIGHTEST blinding pink shirt I've ever seen. Being that he is an ex-CFL (Grey Cup Ring holder) and many of his friends are CFL and NFL'ers ... I declined any comment further than 'nice shirt!' In the end, I think he wore it in support of the coming Pink Shirt Day and awareness - very cool!

Finally, I recieved an email and tweet from the organizer of Pink Shirt day (she's kinda a big deal in these neck of the woods). Because of my tweets on PinkShirtDay.ca in my community she's said 'Thanks!' and she's coming out to have a look at joining my Rotary Club.

It's cool how the simpliest of messages connects us and goes a long way!

It's simple really. Real men wear pink! GO ex-CFL dude and thanks!
