Default YP

We have systematically lowered our YP exposure of the past few years. With more than 80% of our tenants from our zip code we did not feel the need to spend the $ we were for the YP ad.
ATT Bellsouth etc.. they all need to wake up. Their product(phone book) is soon to go just like the horse and carriage. The rates they charge are down right outrageous too! We feel the internet is they way to go. try all te free services our there, then buy some google ads.

Default Marketing- y/p

We are in a small market and mainly a rural area so easily over 70% of our business finds us via y/p. Certainly that will eventually change but access to rural customers confined to y/p and will not change until local internet has wider coverage. The y/p are expensive and now we see Dex, Yellow Book and County directories making a pitch for an advertisement.

Great point, Logan. I'm already considering planning on reducing (for the first time ever) our YP ad this year and your comment just made that crystal clear - why pay for expensive, large community advertising when most of my customers come from within a five-mile radius? Thanks!

Default yellow pages

I'm a manager with Houston Mini Storage and we use a web site. I personally never use the yellow pages. Its quicker and easier to use the internet. Plus I can get directions if I need them.

We have always been in two different YP's -- Verizon and AT&T

We cut the Verizon ad in half and reduced the AT&T by 2/3's !

Between the two we will be saving about $1200 every MONTH!!!! That's over $14,000 every year that we can put into other, more productive advertising!

Hello to all in the self storage business. I have a web address product for the self storage industry. I would love to get your input and feedback about how it could help facility owners in this industry.

We all know the phone is a key tool between the customer and the provider. The yellow pages suports that 100% at much cost. Now the web is putting a dent in that annual cost for owners.

Of the thousands of facilites world wide, I'm sure most small and medium facilites don't have a business website. Maybe they don't need one.

My web address idea is to offer any and all facilities a subscription to a web page address. Even if the facility already has a domain website.

StorageCall.com has details.

Basically, I generate a URL using this domain name and adding the business phone number. Example: http://StorageCall.com/651/450-6464
auto redirects to the existing web site at www.GreenwoodMiniStorage.com .

One possible use, is to display a sign on the building, on the traffic sides, which displays the web address which is also the phone number. This URL could be the website address for any facility that does not have a domain name website currently. They don't need to register a domain name, and pay hosting fees, etc. That is provided.

StorageCALL.com/_ _ _ / _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ Add phone number, mount the sign, use on all print media, such as paper ad's, yellow pages, business cards, contracts, pinups, flyers, coupons, etc. ( print everywhere you publish your bare phone number now. )

It's a Website (URL) address and phone number in ONE !

URL can be auto redirected to existing website domains also, giving customers a second way to reach the business via the web and search engines.

The bonus someday, is all subscribers would be listed on the main site, so as to show up in search engines. Goal, is to get most all owners listed by state/county.

Surely appreciate your inputs and ideas on this concept before I decide to promote it.

Thank you, John ( Ask for a no obligation demo ) ( Free URL's Possible )
