Deliberately Peeing in Storage facility?
Has anyone had a customer/mover deliberately pee inside your storage facility (hallway, unit, other than bathroom)?

I wish that's ALL I'd ever had them do!

Deb, me too!
Fortunately, it has always been done in a container of some sort. (knocking vigorously on wood!)

Yep, totally normal seemingly descent girl rented a locker and was up there for 1t minutes. Then she came down and said there is a puddle in her locker. I saw it and my jaw dropped and she acted smug. The video proved she was in there doing something and in a totally empty locker. I felt like I was being setup. Turned out she had a few screws loose.

Re: Deliberately Peeing in Storage facility?
Here in South Carolina, we have never had that problem. So far in the 14 months we have been here, all of our tenants have used the proper porcelain receptacle to deposit their bodily fluids and solids.
Now Florida was a different story, at least 2-3 times a week we encountered that problem, even though we had a very nice outside bathroom...customers would do either #1 or #2 or both inside climate controlled hallways, outside around the property, up against a drive-up door, just about anywhere on the property EXCEPT the proper porcelain receptacle. It was the main reason why we couldn't leave any unlocked units available for nighttime rental at the kiosk.
We are sooooooooooooooooo happy to be in South Carolina now!

Re: Deliberately Peeing in Storage facility?
The problem with your pole is that you did not offer a "All of the above" answer for location. When I started working here we had tenants do more than just pee in storage units. I started locking empty units and put up signs about the location of the bathrooms. Later we caught a tenant pissing in a hallway. It cost him $50 cleaning fee and a rate increase of $20 per month for the remainder of the time he was here (about a year). We still get people that pee in hallways or outside on buildings
. Its not easy to catch them in the act. To these people, its ok to do this, just like people that throw cigarette butts and other trash on the ground without a care in the world. They are all apathetic.

Ah yes, both the #1 and #2. It happens if you have been in the business any length of time.

The guys found a garbage bag of "dookie" hidden in a hallway this morning....

This is our first "poop bomb" on this property......YUCK!What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are small matters compared to what lies within us!
