Default Does Anyone Have Document Storage At A Self Storage Facility?

Do you offer just "Document Storage" (racks in a unit) or "Document Management" (pick up, delivery, etc.)? What marketing tools have you found to be the most effective? Least effective? How long did it take to become successful?

I'd like to raise that question again from AprilinVA. Does anyone offer units with shelves for record storage? How do you charge? Does it have appeal for the doctors, accounts, business people out there?

Yes absolutely document storage has appeal. I have some heavy duty shelving that can be dismantled and such; also I have some big filing cabinets. I rent the shelves and cabinets with a unit for a small extra fee. Between 5-20$ a month. It has helped rent all of my smaller units in the AC, from 5x5's to 5x10's. In the area I work in has allot of private dr.'s offices. Offer long term discounts where tenants can lock in a certain rate. Hope this helps.

I have been doing record management for two years. We have commercial shelving and use climate control storage rooms. Our system uses the software that the big commercial companies do.

It takes at least two years to get a good start in the file business but I am using it as an extra service for my customers. Go to web site www.fileman.com for lots of good info.
I do provide the service which is every bit as good as the big box companies.
