Community is growing!

Just another quick update regarding the progress of this cool new forum ... On Friday, we sent an e-mail invitation to a select group of self-storage owners and managers. Today, we have more than 80 members! That's a pretty good first day; and I look forward to seeing the community grow in leaps and bounds. Welcome to all of our new Self-Storage Talk folk!

Once you are logged in, click on "User CP" (User Control Panel) on the left-hand side of the top menu. There you can manage all of your personal site features: change your password, add a signature to your messages, read private messages, personalize your profile, etc. Have fun exploring the site's features and ENJOY! Feel free to contact me or one of our SST moderators if you need assistance with anything.

Thank you for creating this website. Hopefully this forum will actually be used by SS developers, owners and managers. A suggestion is to post a thread for consumers that has links to sites where they could find information about the Self Storage industry, where to find locations and help with moving and links to other topics they might feel are helpful. Examples are the TSSA site at [url=http://www.txssa.org/] and another is selfstorageguide.com. There are many others that could be included. As a newcomer to the industry, my hope is that this site becomes a valuable resource for all participants.

That's a great suggestion, Jim! One of the concerns we have had is that consumers would stumble across the forum and be frustrated by the lack of resources for our customer base. I will consider some options for rectifying this. Thanks for the feedback!
