Default Webselfstorage

Do any of you have experience with Webselfstorage? If so what do you like and dislike about their software program?

I used it when I worked as a storage manager for U-Haul, and I LOVED IT!!! It was very easy to learn, very easy to train new employees on, did everything correctly that you wanted it to do, and brought in rentals each month due to the tie in with the U-Haul program and the website advertising. I can't think of any complaints, other then you couldn't create custom reports, but I can't do that with the software we are using now either. Actually the software I'm using now I could give you a list of about 100 complaints and limitations and screw-ups, but the company I work for now chose it, so we're stuck with it.

The only problem I ever had with WebSelfStorage was on the auto-pay program when a customer paid by virtual check instead of a credit/debit card, if the virtual check bounced, the program didn't handle that well...usually tried to run it through again, and then double late fees and nsf fees. They may have that fixed by now.

Other then that, I would highly recommend it for ease of use, easy to learn screens and functions, and functionality that works as described. I wish I had it back, because the program I'm using now doesn't even make change for you...sigh....

So, I gotta ask -- what program are you using now, and what are some of the major problems with it?

Hi Autodoc....I don't know if it would be politically correct to say what we are using now...just in case any of the higher-ups in my company read this forum.

I have mentioned on another forum that we both participate in, what my current program is....but I have a different log-in on that forum.

Webselfstorage is a great program and very affordable. Priced at only $44.95 per month you get all of the bells and whistles without paying out extra for features such as yield management, site maps and online payments to name just a few. Not only that, everything is integrated which means you deal with only one company.

Take credit cards for example. It's integrated, all you do is sign up for the service and in less than a week your taking credit cards. Not only that, your taking them at a swiped rate of only 1.7%! The cool thing is, the money is deposited daily and there are reports that show you the amounts along with the ACH id to easily match the deposits up with the bank statement.

Well worth looking into.
