We use Domico, and we are extremely pleased with the functionality of this software. It is pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for. The nice part about it is that the credit card processing and the security system is all integrated into the software. If someone is in Lien Status, their code automatically does NOT work. Pretty cool. When I move in a customer, I type the code in the computer, and BOOM....it's working. Fat chance of a customer embezzling with this software. It makes you account for EVERYTHING!!! For larger facilities, this would be great....not so much for tiny ones. Very pricey, very good software. We love it!

Personally I do not like domico software...the only reason i have it is because one of the facilities i purchase used it to begin with. It is too expensive and the support is too expensive. Ive had problems with the program that I asked support about and they couldnt fix it...one was a printing issue where i installed a new printer but everytime i did a move-out it wouldnt print to the new printer...and all the settings were changed...finally when i reinstalled the whole thing myself i was able to fix it they were absolutely no help.
The other 2 software programs i have are space control and syrasoft...both of those i like...the one with domico i will eventually switch to syrasoft as well as the space control one since i want all my sites the same eventually. No matter which company you go with theyre all expensive unless you have just a small facility under 200units usually then you can buy the discounted version of the software sometimes. The tech support shouldnt be extremely expensive like i feel domicos is but everyone must truely decide for themselves...thank goodness most companies will send you demos of their programs. the other company that may be good which i havent tried yet is sitelink...its alot less up front cost with them since its webbased but it can add up for the monthly fees/tech support so you have to consider all costs... with a smaller company you can maybe do without the tech support subscription as long as your computer literate but if you have a big facility that your always busy at or several facilities tech support subscription is a must since if something goes down you can get immediate help since not all employees know everything about computers its good to be able to have someone you can call that does. |
