Thumbs down Rentplus 2.0

I would stay away from this software. We have been on it for awhile now. Their server is always disconnecting, and their tech support is terrible, usually not even a response to emails at all.

Thanks for that input - always good to know the good and the bad.

we have the rent plus 1.8. I have been very hesitant to upgrade because I've heard some negative things about 2.0 (from them no less). I'm pretty happy with the older version-there is some sloppy programming and a few things that need fixing, but it does the job.

We have the 2.0, upgrading from the 1.8 we ran for many years. I can't say it's better, and unfortunately I can't argue with the original poster's comment about the tech support as of late. They used to be fabulous at support, now....not so much. There is a couple of VERY helpful techs there, but no telling when they'll get back to you.

I must say that after I finally did plead my case to some sympathetic tech support ears I received a heartfelt apology and a call from the President himself, whom walked me through my upgrade and stayed with me until I was a happy customer. I have a support issue right now though that has been ongoing for a couple of months, and still no resolution.....

I think that HiTech is a great company that is going through some logistic issues. They are nice people to talk to in person, very helpful and I believe they are in it for the good of the industry. I just hope they can get things squared away sooner rather than later.
