We have PTI- Taskmaster/Master Security package. I have been using it for 4 years now and I give it a thumbs up. Sometimes due to the double entry system on the accounting end, It takes me a while to figure out what was due and how it was applied.
Tech Support is Great (sometimes it takes a while to get a return call) but there know what they are talking about. I am looking for someone that also has Taskmaster for a talking buddy. Like most software tech support systems, sometimes it takes a while to get a return call from someone so having someone to Brain Storm with would be nice. Is anyone interested |

Does anyone have any dealing with BlueTooth? Is it another system or just an addition to what we already have? All I know is you can do contracts on computer instead of by hand. Anyone have more info?

I am uneasy about using a web based management program. Has anyone had any problems with down time or hackers? I would love to get pay on line going...We currently use non web based Site Link and like it.

we set up PayPal for online payments -- this way there is no link to our system.
Our tenets love it, and I love it as PayPal handles all the security! The trick is teaching your tenets that they do not need a PayPal account. We have been using it for about a year with no problems.

I have used Domico and Sitelink. I like Sitelink better than Domico. I like the collection call feature of Sitelink, it is easier to keep track of customer notes, more reports are offered, and it was easy to set up online payments.
Do any of you have experience with Webselfstorage? I am interested in how they compare to the other management softwares. |

What I hear is that it is very user friendly and cost is next to nothing compared to Sitelink. Also, their free upgrades and free tech support helps a lot to bottom line. |

We've used RentPlus 1.8 for a bit, and are thinking of moving to 2.0. I'd be curious to hear your experiences with it?

We're using HiTech's RentPlus 1.8 too, we started with MiniStoragePlus with them quite a few years ago. We love it, very stable, very easy to navigate, and has been said of other programs, more reporting power than I'll ever use.
We're in the process of moving up to RentPlus 2.0 right now, and so far the support has been great. We use it linked to a PTI gate system and it has been flawless. I met Mike, the owner many years ago when he came to our area for a live training seminar. Ever since then I have seen him at every ISS show and we've spent a few minutes chatting. It makes me feel good when I have a suggestion and he actually writes it down... maybe it goes nowhere, but nice to see the President of the company take the time to make notes. One of the reasons we're going to 2.0 is the rent maximizing feature, where the software will calculate the rate of units based on availability and popularity. RK mentioned at the LV seminar that storage as a whole is somewhat behind the curve on this type of pricing, as hotels, airlines and car rental outfits have been doing it for years. We don't ever want to be 100% full of any given size, but if we are we want those last few units to be bought at a premium. Also, not that we'll try it, but RentPlus is one of the few, if only one, that currently allows for you to bill customers in 4 week increments rather than monthly. I'll take 13 "months" a year anyday We won't do that now, but if the industry goes that way we're ready. The only thing I would wish for is Insomniac capability with RentPlus, right now they are incompatible, but Mike says that may be coming in the future. Yeah, we're happy with RentPlus 1.8, hopefully we'll be even happier with 2.0. We run one store from 3 different locations too, and it has worked great. |
