Default If you could invent one thing for this industry ...

Pretend you're a famous (or soon-to-be!) inventor. What would you create for the self-storage industry?
Do you ever have those moments of frustration when you think to yourself, "If only I had a thingy-ma-jig to fix this." What would the thingy-ma-jig do?
Or, have you ever had a great idea hit you, sideblind you, the perfect invention to resolve a problem you've had while on the job?
what would it be?

Wink O.K.- Are you READY for this ONE?

I'm an idiot if this has already been invented, and in that case, just consider me ill-informed. In my vain imaginings, I have always dreamed of, and have actually drawn up an idea for-

DRIVE-UP CLIMATE-CONTROLLED STORAGE (looks like a regular, non-climate building)...

Of course, I am the same guy who also has an idea for a storage facility on the moon...

We have three buildings of drive up climate controlled storage. This is in addition to traditional storage and traditional interior hallway climate control. Customers seem to love it and are willing to pay a premium for it.

Like Joe Soucheray says- "Everything I have ever invented has already been around for years..."

Oh, well- there's always that lunar storage idea...

How about a hypnosis program for tenants that compels them to pay their freaking rent on time, every time, without me having to nag them???

Default Efficient Maintenance Tools

I would like two things:
1. An easier way to cut locks (besides using a grinder/drill)
2. A fast, clean way to make unit door sparkle.
