Brand new to the storage business
Hi folks,
My name is Michelle. I am helping a friend out by running his storage facility with him. I have never done this before, any advice?

Advice, that is!
Let me be the first to welcome you to this great forum! As Red Green says- "We're All In This Together!" If you haven't done it already, let me suggest that you familiarize yourself with the forums in general, and don't forget to peruse the 'rules' thread at the top. Beyond that, it's your oyster- ask a question, make a comment, or relate one of your experiences- soaking up all that this forum has to offer will get you off to a good start! Again, Welcome!  Seriously thou - after reading EVERYTHING on this forum look up your states self storage lien laws and memorize them!!! The better you know the rules the easier your job will be. If you do have any questions feel free to ask - someone around here will have an answer or will know where to find it. The other thing to remember is to relax, smile and have fun!!

Hi Michelle and Welcome,
In addition to the good advice already you may want to update your profile to add your location, at least the State and general area since so much of this business is state and area specific. If you're by a military base at the beach you don't need advice that's specific to rural Iowa. Enjoy and use the SEARCH feature lot at first.
