Man that was so funny! It is such a cold, drab and rainy day here that post just made me laugh so hard.. here's to a good day and a big smile!

A bull?! I can't even imagine why a bull, of all animals, would be at your storage facility - of all places! I'm glad the owner decided to feed a bunch of people with burgers!

Michael and your fingers hahahaha (sorry and thank you - needed the smile )
Gina Thank you for the advice on never stepping in a unit, never thought of that. With anything else in life I guess the most common sense of things don't add up until they are pointed out.

Hey Uncle Bob, yeah, I thought the same thing... for a minute. We are located next to several large fields of sweet, mellow cows. Somebody forgot he had left the bull in the field with the gate unlocked...
On another day, a couple of cows came walking through the gate. They were much easier to deal with.

RE:
The worst that I've had is...
I was sweeping an unit and the tension clasp on the side slid off, and the door slammed down HARD. When the spring releases, all that tension rams it into the ground. I am not one to scare or freak out easily, but I sure had a "What the heck is going on...?!" moment.

That happened to my hubby once, and he almost lost his thumb!
Fortunately, he was on the OUTSIDE of the door!

Re: Scariest Thing That's Ever Happened at Your Facility
Here's one that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck. It was a couple of years ago, I just arrived at work and as I drove past the office I looked in and saw that there were more lights on than normal. I parked the car and went to the front door and through the window I noticed that there was some molding laying on the floor, I thought the maintenance guys had left supplies laying there. I unlocked the door and went into the office. It didn't dawn on me for a minute that the back door was hanging open and drawers were pulled out that the office had been robbed! Things just weren't in their proper place. I went to my desk and discovered that the change drawer was pried open and the money missing...At this point I was just in a daze...The phone was off the hook and making a busy sound...I hung up the phone and called 911 and then the owner. 911 told me, get out of the office now and wait for an officer to get there because they could still be in the building, didn't have to tell me twice...I went and sat in my car, locked the doors and called my husband. He said are you out of the office and I told him that I was sitting in the car..I told him that the phone was off the hook in the office and still making the busy sound and he said that I must have spooked whoever was in there, cause the phone will go dead after a certain amount of time when it's off the hook. I tested it later and I think it's about a minute...YIKES...They were still here when I pulled up! Anyway the cops got here and the owner got here. My office is on the backside of a huge banquet hall, so they could have been hiding anywhere in the building and it's kind of secluded here. I carry mace and my cell phone at all times now...I like my new white hair, it's kind of cool.... I hope that never happens again, my heart just wouldn't be able to take it, I tell ya!

Nope...Still have my mace though... About 1 year and a half ago, I was here and heard a noise in the kitchen, large industrial kitchen of the banquet hall, like something being slammed down. I called out who's there...no answer..911! They sent three sheriff's out...It was the janitor, who failed to tell me that he was here, He apologized when the three sheriff officers walked him back to my office... I'm not quite so jumpy now, but I keep my eyeballs peeled and ears open and phone close...No they never did catch who was responsible for the break in, hopefully they won't be back. I'm thinking of asking the owner for a shotgun port at the front counter.
