Smile Dog Rescue!

So I was doing my morning routine and saw 3 dogs go running through the front yard. Our store is located on a very busy 4 lane road so I went outside and the dogs were already down a good ways. Got in the car to try and find them, and they were running around a mobile home sales place. Luckily the guy working there had some straps to tie them up with (i forgot to grab anything haha). I walked them back to the office to keep them out of the heat, found out the owner is a truck driver 3+ hours away, and have been having dog companions since haha. Hope the owner doesnt mind the temporary, non-paying tenants lol. The lost dog service on their collar says 1 is 12 yrs old, the other is 11, and the rotty is 6ish. Took some pictures for you all. FUN! (-slobber)

So is the truck driver coming back for the pups or are they now part of your family?

yeah he came and got them this afternoon. Asked what he owed me and of course I said nothing, but he insisted on buying pizza sometime and I said if he really wanted to do something to just tell his friends about our storage if they ever need one. Apparently he has 2 friends moving soon that he's going to tell...awesome. Pizza + Rentals = A Good Day

I'm so happy you rescued them! I would have panicked if I saw them running around a busy street (and also chased them down)

Poor babies!!! I'm glad you saved them. We had a similar situation at our facility once, but we found the owner right away & it was only one dog. I couldn't imagine trying to track down three of them, lol! Thanks for sharing.

Kudos for you!!! I had something like that happen too. Unfortunately animal control came for them as we couldn't locate the owners, no collars. But animal control said they had chips,so it wouldn't be a problem finding the owners. The pups were two beautiful huskies.

Oh-thank you for caring enough to get these dogs to a safe place! I have rescued more cats than dogs however one dog, puppy actually, was abandoned at my property once. I found it a great home, his name is Prince and he is sure treated like one now. It feels great to make a difference in the life a poor little animal who never knew what love was before he got a home! Loved your story!
