Have you changed your Internet passwords lately?
I was reading a notice from Twitter and while it doesn't affect most of us it reminded me it's been a long time since I changed passwords. So, I just thought I'd put out a reminder that the Internet is like the old Wild West and there's bandits running amok. So, have you changed your passwords lately?

Good reminder, Gina! I tend to stick with the same 2 or 3 passwords. I have passwords for EVERYTHING so I have trouble remembering what goes where.

I created a bizarrely named, encrypted document on our server that I can access from any computer from our internal network... with the appropriate password of course! And then its full of characters and hints for all the various passwords. What a pain, but something we need to do now and then.

Here's a tip: Pick one core password and then create several simple variations of it.
Also, use combos of numbers and letters, and do them in unexpected ways.
Example: ph0en1x.
Note: That is not my password for anything, but nice try.

As a car nut I use car models and numbers - easy for me to remember, hard to crack as they comply with PCI DSS
e.g E92BMWM3c
As long as I remember what car I am ok.
and dont use online password software or iphone apps.

Like John I use variations of one password, altho many different values in each. Some include numbers in each, some no numbers at all depending on the importance and security, but all remind me and ONLY me of the one thing that will trigger my (ever so blonde and forgetful brain) of my password. On bad days it takes a try or two LOL but most days I have my head clear and log in no problem to ant site/program.

Why, thank you, ma'am. Y'all are very welcome.
By the way, I think that Elphaba is after you and Wayne.
